Pricing

Traditional processing, priced in plain English.

If dual pricing is not right for your business, the other path is a straight rate on every transaction with every fee published. The only honest way to quote that is from a statement you are already paying, so that is where we start.

Before we quote anything

A rate only means something next to the one you pay now.

Four things decide what traditional processing actually costs you, and three of them never appear in a sales quote.

Your effective rate

Total fees divided by total volume. It is the only number that compares two processors honestly, and almost nobody is told theirs.

Where the padding sits

Monthly fees, batch fees, statement fees, PCI fees, and markup spread across categories. Individually small, together the whole difference.

What nobody can discount

Interchange and card brand assessments are set by Visa and Mastercard and cost every processor the same. Anyone claiming to beat them is moving the money somewhere else.

What changes if you switch

Usually the markup and the monthly fees. Rarely the interchange. We will show you which line moves before you sign anything.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why will you not publish a rate on this page?

Because a rate quoted without seeing your volume, your average ticket, and your card mix is a guess dressed up as a number. Two businesses on the same street can sit a full percentage point apart on identical paperwork. We would rather quote you from your own statement than post a figure you cannot hold us to.

What is the difference between this and dual pricing?

Traditional processing means you absorb the cost of accepting cards, the same as you do today, at a rate we agree up front. Dual pricing means you post a card price and a cash price so the cost sits in the posted price instead of your margin. One is not better than the other. It depends on your customers and your tickets.

Do I have to switch to find out what I am paying?

No. The statement analysis is a read of your existing account. Plenty of businesses go through it and stay where they are, and that is a perfectly reasonable outcome.

What do you need from me?

One recent monthly processing statement. Not your bank statements, not your tax records, and not anything about your customers.
